Our relationship with Hema goes further than our 4WD Tag Along Tours. The Adrenalin team travels throughout Australia collecting mapping data, exploring tracks and contributing real-world knowledge from some seriously remote corners of the country.

From Central Australia and the Simpson Desert to Cape York, Ben's passion is exploring Australia's remote places. He brings extensive 4WD, recovery, vehicle and remote touring experience to every adventure.
From tour bookings and logistics to being out there on the tracks, Hayley helps keep the Adrenalin tour machine moving. Remote travel, Tasmania and anywhere with a good story or bit of history are firmly on her list.
Andrew's 4WD adventures started on the NSW South Coast and grew from there. A fan of remote touring and the Northern Territory, his approach is simple: plan, prepare and enjoy the adventure.
With a genuine passion for Australia's landscapes, history and remote places, Ricko brings a wealth of outback knowledge, stories and experience to the Adrenalin tag-along tour team.
Alex brings extensive experience in remote travel, route planning and camping to every trip. Involved with Hema Maps' Alpha program since 2023, he loves exploring Australia's lesser-known corners, sharing their stories and making sure everyone gets there and home.

Where permits, access permissions or operator approvals are required for the tour, our team organises the relevant requirements as part of planning the journey.
We work with the relevant parks, forestry and government authorities required to operate our tours through destinations across Australia.

No. Our tours cover a range of skill levels, from beginner-friendly trips through to more challenging adventures for experienced drivers. Each tour includes a skill level so you can choose an adventure that suits your experience and vehicle setup.
Vehicle requirements vary depending on the tour. Some trips are suitable for relatively standard 4WDs, while more remote or technical tours may require additional clearance, tyres, recovery equipment, communications or other modifications. Check the individual tour page for specific requirements before booking.

Our team will assess the problem and, where practical, assist with repairs or recovery on the track. If the vehicle cannot be repaired and professional towing or recovery is required, this will need to be arranged at the vehicle owner's expense.
Yes. Vehicles participating in our tours should have comprehensive insurance suitable for the type of travel being undertaken. We strongly recommend confirming your off-road and remote-area coverage directly with your insurer before departure.
We strongly recommend taking out comprehensive domestic travel insurance
as soon as you book your tour. Depending on your policy, travel insurance
may provide cover for unexpected circumstances such as cancellation,
illness or injury, travel disruption and lost or damaged belongings.
Make sure the policy you choose is suitable for your individual
circumstances and the type of tour you are joining, including remote-area
travel where applicable.
Remember: travel insurance is separate from your vehicle insurance.
Families are welcome on many of our tours. Children under 18 must remain under the supervision of their parent or guardian. Check the individual tour information for any trip-specific age restrictions or requirements.
Some tours allow suitable off-road camper trailers and others do not. This depends on the tracks, terrain and conditions expected on the trip. Check the individual tour page or contact our team before booking if you plan to tow.
What you need will depend on the tour, but generally you will need your own suitable 4WD, camping equipment where required, food, water, recovery gear and personal supplies. A detailed preparation and equipment list is provided for each tour.
Inclusions vary between tours. Some permits, access fees and park fees may be included in the tour price, while others may need to be paid separately. The individual tour page will outline what is included and any additional costs you should allow for.
Remote travel rarely follows a perfect script. Weather, road closures, flooding, fires and track conditions can require changes to the planned route. Our team may alter the itinerary when necessary to keep the group safe and make the best of the conditions on the ground.
