Time to tick Victorian High Country off your Bucket List? We are leading a 6 day trip through the Victorian High Country to show you some iconic Australian High Country trails and locations.
Itinerary is as follows:
Day 1 - Meet at the Jamieson VIC for meet and greet and welcome dinner & drinks Day 2 - Travel high country tracks and trails Day 3 - Travel high country tracks and trails Day 4 - Travel high country tracks and trails Day 5 - Travel high country tracks and trails with farewell dinner Day 6 - Finish at Bright VIC
Some of the well known tracks and locations we will be visiting are as follows:
- Dargo Hotel - Billy Goats Bluff - Blue Rag Range - Howitt Hut - Wonnangatta Station - Zeka Spur - The Pinnacles - Dingo Hill
Plus many more huts and trails*
- Welcome Dinner and Drinks at Jamieson - Farewell Dinner and Drinks at Dargo - Camp Fees - National Park fees - Experienced guide - Use of Satellite Phone if needed
This tour is self-cater with the exception of the first and last night. Camper trailers permitted only on application . Sorry, no domestic pets allowed due to entering National Parks.
BONUS 1 - Any vehicle booked is entitled to 10% off any TJM products purchased in store between the date of booking and the commencement of the trip.
BONUS 2 - FREE pre and post trip inspections in our workshop for each vehicle registered for the trip. Inspections must be booked with the shop.
What to bring: - Basic Recovery Gear (Snatch strap, shackles etc) - UHF Radio - 80 Channel (Car mounted or portable) - Camping gear (Tent, Swag etc) - Camp Chairs - Changes of clothes for the time we're away - Food and drinks - Enough water and drinks for you and your passengers for the duration of the trip - Hats and sunscreen
Fuel - If you do not have a long range or auxiliary fuel tank we suggest you bring 2 jerry cans for fuel. There will be times where we will be travelling for distances and potentially not have access to refuel.
Vehicle/driver suitability - Raised suspension, recovery points and a raised air intake/snorkel are required for this trip. There are no bypasses for the tracks we are doing, but a 35mm lift or greater is all that is required. There will be water crossings as part of the trip. This an easy to moderate trip in terms of difficulty, participating drivers should have previous 4WD experience before joining this trip. All drivers must be licensed and vehicles must be registered and in roadworthy condition.
Cost - $699 per vehicle/driver- $399 per person for additional passengers. $99 children under 5
*Tracks and access to some attractions may become limited due to weather, track closures or other conditions which may make access to a particular area unsafe or unsuitable. In these instances we have backup routes to use with alternate attractions.
