Ben and Hayley carefully choose their staff to work at Adrenalin Off-Road Centre and the biggest pre-requisite is they have to be a 4WD enthusiast.
Every conversation you have about a part, accessory, upgrade or tag-along tour will be with someone that enjoys getting into the great outdoors with their 4×4.
The team either own or have owned 4WD’s and have gone on all kinds of adventures and use many of the products available for sale in their retail store.

How did you get into 4WDing/Camping?
I rented a 4WD Troop Carrier on a holiday and went to Rainbow Beach on Fraser Island in 1998. I was hooked from there!
What was your first 4WD and what do you drive now?
My first 4WD was a 1997 Jeep Wrangler. I now drive a LandCruiser 79 Series for touring and have a Jeep Wrangler for the more technical off-roading.
Favourite place to go 4WDing/Camping
Anywhere in Australia! But if I had to pick it would be either the remoteness, scenery and history of central Australia, or Cape York for similar but warmer reasons.
Top tip for going out 4WDing?
We always tell our tag along tour customers to prepare for anything but expect the unexpected.
Any other interests?
All of my interests involve getting outdoors from adventure bike riding, taking out my Canam Maverick SXS for some fun, hiking, photography, and exploring Australia’s history out on the tracks.

How did you get into 4WDing/Camping?
My family and I would always go away in the school holidays camping and 4wd with our friends.
Favourite place to go 4WDing/Camping
My favourite place in NSW would have to be the Hill End and Sofala area, the tracks are always a lot of fun and I love the history and gold mining stories. My all time favourite is 4wdig and camping is anywhere in Tasmania.
Top tip for going out 4WDing?
Be prepared. We do a lot of remote 4wding and we always make sure we have enough fuel, food and water.
Any other interests?
I ride an Adventure Bike – a BMW GS310 and I also have a 1989 Honda CT110 “Postie” bike which is a bit of fun to slowly get around on. I also enjoy fishing and fossicking in between tours.

My parents always had 4wds when we were growing up and they took us out camping all the time.
What was your first 4WD and what do you drive now?
First 4wd was a Prado 90 series. Now I have a Prado 95 series.
What would be your dream 4WD if you had no spending limit!

What got you into 4WDing/Camping?
I grew up camping , we used to visit Rainbow Beach, Fraser Island a lot as kids, otherwise we would be out camping on local dams and water skiing. It wasn’t until I moved to Cape York in 2003 that I started getting into the 4wd scene.
What was your first 4WD and what do you drive now?
My first 4wd was a 1990 model duel cab Holden Rodeo, now I’m loving my 2018 78 series Troop Carrier!
What would be your dream 4wd if you had no spending limit?
Honestly, I’d probably build a wicked Troopy!
Where is your favourite place to go 4WDing/camping.
My favourite place to go camping and 4wding is definitely The Old Telegraph Track Cape York!!
What is your top tip for going out 4WDing?
Always take enough beer! … also always take mates capable of pulling you out of bog holes!!
