  • This tour is designed for Side-by-Side vehicles capable of handling remote terrain.
  • All vehicles must be in excellent mechanical condition.
  • Participants must transport their buggy to and around Tasmania using their own tow vehicle and trailer. If seeking buggy transport, please contact us.
  • Licensed drivers only.
  • Helmets and required safety equipment must be carried and used where required.
  • Recovery points and suitable recovery gear required.
  • Travel insurance is recommended.
  • A detailed vehicle preparation guide will be provided prior to departure.

  • Minimum numbers: the tour will only run once minimum vehicle numbers of 5 is reached.
  • Deposit: $1,000 deposit per vehicle is payable at booking.
  • Final payment: due 6 weeks prior to tour departure.

Is this a camping tour?

No. This is a fully accommodated tour. Accommodation is included for all seven nights.

Do I need to tow my buggy?

Yes. Customers are responsible for transporting their buggy to Tasmania and between accommodation bases using their own tow vehicle and trailer. However we maybe able to arrange transport with prior arrangement.

Are meals included?

Yes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included throughout the tour, including a welcome dinner and farewell dinner.

How many vehicles can join?

This tour is capped at 8 customer vehicles to keep the group manageable, safe and personal.

What kind of buggy do I need?

You’ll need a registered Side-by-Side vehicle suitable for remote terrain. Final requirements will be confirmed before departure.

What happens if tracks are closed?

Tasmanian tracks can be affected by weather, erosion, seasonal closures and access changes. If a planned area is unavailable, we’ll adjust the route and use the best suitable legal alternatives available.

Is this suitable for beginners?

This tour is rated Intermediate to Advanced. You should have some off-road driving experience and be comfortable driving in changing terrain.

Are ferry costs included?

No. Spirit of Tasmania ferry bookings and costs are not included. Customers are responsible for booking their own ferry travel.
