Description

🏕️ Cape York Peninsula – 14-Day 4WD Tag-Along Tour

Your Cape York adventure begins where rainforest meets reef, deep in the Daintree Rainforest. Day one sets the tone as we wind through lush, ancient forest tracks, stopping for afternoon tea and a cultural experience surrounded by towering trees, filtered light and the sounds of the rainforest.

From here, the adventure unfolds through some of Far North Queensland’s most iconic and lesser-known gems. You’ll pass the historic Lion’s Den Hotel, uncover magical hidden waterfalls, and explore places most travellers never see. As the days roll on, the scenery constantly shifts. From dense rainforest to open dusty roads, from rugged inland tracks to dazzling coastal stretches.

Over 14 unforgettable days, you’ll discover Australia’s whitest sands and the bright sand cliffs that rise next to the ocean, creating postcard-perfect views. You’ll see the giant termite mounds Cape York is famous for, travel beside wide rivers you definitely don’t swim in, and then cool off in some of the most incredible freshwater swimming holes imaginable.

At Chilli Beach, you’ll drive the shoreline searching for coconuts, crack them open, and enjoy them fresh as the sun sets around the fire.

The driving delivers too. You’ll take on the legendary Frenchmans Track, cheering on fellow travellers as vehicles cross the iconic Pascoe River. We visit the mining town of Weipa, enjoy a memorable night of food and entertainment at Bramwell, and then it’s time for one of the biggest highlights of the trip.

You’ll drive the entire Old Telegraph Track. Yes, all of it. Palm Creek. Gunshot Creek. The challenges that have made Cape York famous. But this tour isn’t just about obstacles. Between the crossings are crystal-clear creeks and incredible swimming holes where you can refresh and rehydrate.

The journey is deliberately well paced, allowing time to enjoy the locations, the camps, the swims and the experience itself. We finish by reaching the Tip of Cape York, standing at the northernmost point of mainland Australia, before continuing on to explore the stunning Five Beaches.

This is Cape York done properly. Adventurous, remote, immersive and unforgettable.

🔧 Bonus: Free Pre & Post Trip Vehicle Inspections

We know Cape York is tough on vehicles — that’s part of the adventure. To help you head off with confidence and return home without surprises, this tour includes a free pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection at Adrenalin Off-Road Centre.

Before the tour, our team will give your vehicle a once-over to help identify any potential issues before you hit the Cape. It’s not about picking faults — it’s about peace of mind and making sure your setup is Cape-ready.

After the tour, we’ll check things over again to help spot any wear or damage from the trip, so you can plan servicing or repairs before they turn into bigger problems down the track.

Inspections are available by appointment at either our Narellan, NSW or Pakenham, VIC store locations and are visual checks only
(no mechanical repairs included).

It’s a simple extra, but one that makes a big difference — especially after a remote, demanding adventure like Cape York.
