Description
🏝️ Cape York Ultimate – 12-Day 4WD Tag-Along Adventure
This is the Cape York trip you do when you don’t want to rush it, and you definitely don’t want to stop where everyone else does. Over 12 big, unforgettable days, you’ll drive your own 4WD from the lush rainforests of Far North Queensland all the way to the very top of Australia — and then keep going. It’s a proper Cape adventure, built for people who want the real experience, with a few seriously special extras layered in.
On the tracks, it’s everything Cape York is famous for. River crossings, rough and rewarding 4WD sections, long dirt roads, hidden swimming holes, and those moments where you pull up, look around and think, “I can’t believe we’re actually here.” You’ll travel in a supported convoy with experienced guides, take on iconic routes and crossings , and still have time to stop, swim, explore and enjoy the places that make the Cape so unique.
What really sets this tour apart is what happens after you reach the top. Instead of turning around and heading south, the adventure opens up in a whole new way. You’ll jet ski at the northern edge of Australia, cruise out to sand cays sitting in the middle of clear blue water, and spend time exploring the Torres Strait Islands on a dedicated island tour. You’ll also visit Albany Island for a guided experience and lunch, adding a genuine island-hopping element that very few Cape York trips ever include.
Days finish the way Cape days should. You’ll roll into camp dusty, salty and tired in the best possible way, set up under big skies, and watch the light fade while the fire gets going. This is where the laughs happen, plans get re-written for tomorrow, and the day’s best moments get replayed over dinner. And when we roll into Punsand Bay on the last day of the tour, enjoy a cold drink and a well-earned pizzas, ocean views and that quiet, satisfied feeling of knowing you’ve conquered the Cape, start to finish.

🔧 Bonus: Free Pre & Post Trip Vehicle Inspections
We know Cape York is tough on vehicles — that’s part of the adventure. To help you head off with confidence and return home without surprises, this tour includes a free pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection at Adrenalin Off-Road Centre.
Before the tour, our team will give your vehicle a once-over to help identify any potential issues before you hit the Cape. It’s not about picking faults — it’s about peace of mind and making sure your setup is Cape-ready.
After the tour, we’ll check things over again to help spot any wear or damage from the trip, so you can plan servicing or repairs before they turn into bigger problems down the track.
Inspections are available by appointment at either our Narellan, NSW or Pakenham, VIC store locations and are visual checks only
(no mechanical repairs included).
It’s a simple extra, but one that makes a big difference — especially after a remote, demanding adventure like Cape York.
