The Flinders Ranges is renowned for its awe-inspiring geological formations, vast open plains, deep gorges, and rich Aboriginal cultural heritage. This tour is designed to cater to different skill levels, ensuring that both novice and experienced 4WD drivers can enjoy the adventure.
In addition to the exhilarating driving experience, the tour also offers opportunities for bushwalking, wildlife spotting, and stargazing. The Flinders Ranges is home to a diverse range of plant and animal species, including emus, kangaroos, and wedge-tailed eagles.
Accommodation during the tour is camping, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Flinders Ranges.
This tour will kick off in Peterborough, South Australia from where will head into the Flinders Ranges via Craddock, where you will see the sun set over the Ranges. During this 6 day tour you we will take you to privately owned stations, the spectacular Wilpena Pound, the historic mining town of Blinman, and into Arkaroola and the the Gammon Ranges. You will be camping both on and off grid during this tour.

This tour is self-cater with the exception of the first and last night.
Camper trailers permitted after discussion.
Sorry, no domestic pets allowed due to entering National Parks.

FREE pre and post trip inspections in our workshop for each vehicle registered for the trip. Inspections must be booked with the shop.

Fuel
Enough fuel capacity for around 500km of driving between stops. There will be access to fuel along the way.
Vehicle/driver suitability
This tour is suitable for standard 4WD and AWD vehicles, and you are welcome to bring your off-road camper trailer along for comfort.
This an easy to moderate trip in terms of difficulty, participating drivers should have some previous 4WD experience before joining this trip. All drivers must be licensed and vehicles must be registered and in roadworthy condition with comprehensive vehicle insurance.
BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL ON THIS TRIP
- Only booked customers will be permitted to join us on the trip.
- This trip will be strictly limited to 10 vehicles.
*Tracks and access to some attractions may become limited due to weather, track closures or other conditions which may make access to a particular area unsafe or unsuitable. In these instances we have backup routes to use with alternate attractions.
