Join the Adrenalin Off-Road crew on a 7-day adventure tracing the
historic route blazed by Dr Cecil Madigan during his first scientific
crossing of the Simpson Desert in 1939.
Starting near Alice Springs, we traverse remote desert country along the
fabled Madigan Line, a true outback experience through some of the
least-travelled sand dunes in Australia.
Expect incredible sunrises and sunsets, spectacular star-filled nights,
expert guidance and a real taste of Simpson Desert remoteness before

⛽ Fuel & Range
A long-range or auxiliary fuel tank is recommended for this tour.
We suggest carrying at least two jerry cans of fuel for longer stretches
between refuelling points.

Do I need prior desert driving experience?
This tour is rated Beginner / Intermediate, but confidence in soft-sand
driving and remote travel is useful. Our guides coach tyre pressures,
sand techniques and safe convoy procedures throughout the trip.
Are meals included?
Only the welcome and farewell dinners are included. You’ll need to bring
or purchase the rest of your meals and snacks for the trip.
Can I bring kids?
Yes, families are welcome. Children must be supervised at all times by
a parent or guardian.
Can I tow a camper trailer?
Camper trailers are strongly discouraged due to deep sand and remote
conditions. In special cases, trailers may be permitted by prior approval.
What insurance do I need?
You must have comprehensive vehicle insurance that covers off-road use.
Please confirm this with your insurer before booking.
How is safety managed on tour?
Your guides are remote first aid trained and carry a full first aid kit
with AED. The support vehicle has satellite communications and GPS.
We monitor weather, track conditions and fuel ranges throughout the trip.
What happens if tracks are closed?
Outback tracks can close due to rain, flooding or other hazards.
If a planned section is unsafe, alternative routes and attractions
will be used to maintain safety.
