DISCOVER THE FLINDERS RANGES

Ancient Country. Incredible 4WD Touring.

The Flinders Ranges is one of South Australia's great touring destinations, where rugged mountain ranges rise from the Outback and winding tracks lead through spectacular gorges, station country and historic settlements.

This is a region made for exploring slowly. One day you can be travelling through a rocky gorge or tackling a station 4WD track, and the next discovering an old mining town, ancient fossils or sitting back as the ranges change colour in the afternoon light.

Our Flinders Ranges Hema Tours take you beyond simply driving through the region. We explore places including Wilpena Pound, Blinman, Arkaroola, Brachina Gorge, Parachilna Gorge and privately owned station country, uncovering some of the places that make the Flinders so special.

More than a 4WD trip: spectacular landscapes, ancient geology, Outback history, station country and hidden corners worth taking the time to discover.

DISCOVER THE EYRE PENINSULA

Wild Coastlines. Incredible 4WD Adventures.

The Eyre Peninsula is one of South Australia's great coastal 4WD destinations, where rugged cliffs, secluded beaches and spectacular ocean scenery meet remote tracks and wide-open country.

This is a different kind of South Australian adventure. Follow coastal tracks, explore remote beaches, stop at incredible lookouts and throw in a fishing line along the way. Wildlife, dramatic coastline and seaside camps make every day a little different.

Our Eyre Peninsula tour explores some of the region's standout destinations, including Port Lincoln, Sleaford-Wanna Track, Wilderness Cove, Whalers Way and Coffin Bay, with plenty of time to experience the coastline rather than simply drive through it.

More than a 4WD trip: remote beaches, spectacular coastline, fishing, wildlife and a Coffin Bay oyster and seafood experience all rolled into one South Australian adventure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need lots of 4WD experience?

No. Our South Australia tours are designed to be approachable for drivers with varying levels of experience. Your guides will provide advice throughout the trip, including track techniques, tyre pressures and convoy procedures where required.

What sort of vehicle do I need?

You will need a registered, roadworthy 4WD suitable for the tracks being travelled. Rated recovery points, suitable tyres and basic recovery equipment are required. Comprehensive vehicle insurance covering your intended use is also required.

Do I need to bring my own camping equipment?

Yes. These are camping-based adventures, so you will need your own tent, swag or other suitable camping setup, along with bedding, camp chairs, cooking equipment and your personal camping gear.

Can I bring a camper trailer?

Camper trailer suitability depends on the individual tour and route. Camper trailers are not permitted on the Eyre Peninsula tour. If you are considering towing on another tour, contact our team before booking so we can confirm suitability.

Are meals included?

Meal inclusions vary between tours. Some meals or special experiences may be included, while guests generally provide their own food, drinks and cooking equipment for the remainder of the journey. Check the individual tour page for exact inclusions.

Can children come on the tours?

Yes, families are welcome on suitable tours. Children remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parent or guardian throughout the trip.

No. Our routes can travel through National Parks and other areas where domestic animals are not permitted, so pets cannot join these tours.

What happens if weather or track conditions change?

Remote tracks and attractions can become inaccessible due to rain, closures or changing conditions. Safety comes first, so your guides may alter the route or use alternative tracks and attractions when required.

What information will I receive before departure?

Booked guests receive detailed pre-tour information covering meeting arrangements, vehicle preparation, camping equipment, recovery gear, communications, food, water and other items required for the trip.
