Matthew brought his Mitsubishi Pajero Sport to our 4WD workshop in Narellan, Sydney to get some accessories and modifications his vehicle completed. Matthew wanted to take his family four wheel driving to get off the beaten track and have some adventures. 

The team at our Adrenalin Offroad 4WD accessory store in Sydney helped Matthew choose a selection of compatible upgrades for his Pajero that would be suitable for off road driving, camping & using the 4WD to have holidays or even join one of our tours. 

Bullbar & winch
Starting with protection for the front of the 4WD, Matthew chose to buy a Ironman Commercial Deluxe Bull Bar, Recovery points and Monster winch to be installed on his Pajero. This not only provides the vehicle with frontal protection but also piece of mind that if he is ever in a situation where the vehicle is stuck or in a precarious position, he has the right gear and options to pull himself back onto a trail or out of trouble.

Lights
Our 4×4 workshop also supplied and installed Lightforce Venom driving lights. These lights are not only suitable for long haul night time driving but perfect for illuminating the darkest 4WD trails you can imagine. We also installed OEM manufacturer style switching that was integrated into the dashboard of the Pajero making it feel like it was installed by Mitsubishi. 

UHF Radio
A UHF was also installed for communications between him and other vehicles, when he travels out of mobile phone reception coverage or when traversing tough terrain where a spotter can communicate to from a handheld to navigate the safest route of travel.

Protection and suspension
With the focus on taking this Pajero on 4WD trails with lots of off road driving it was also recommended to install sidesteps for sill protection as well as providing easy access to and from the vehicle for the kids. 

We also added extra ride height for the Pajero by installing Outback Armour adjustable front and rear upgraded suspension kit with upper control arms to provide the vehicle with ample ground clearance to drive over rocks, fallen trees or other obstacles with ease. The adjustability offers a smooth ride both on and off a 4WD trail, absorbing bumps and impacts to keep you comfortable even in the most challenging terrain either mud, sand or gravel.

Wheels and tyres
The wheels were upgraded with a set of Maxxis Razr AT 811s tyres that were installed on Icon Vector wheels. This tyre and wheel combination creates grip and traction in mud, sand, gravel, and everything in between while providing durability and style. It is a popular wheel and tyre combo for 4WD vehicles that will help to make sure the vehicle is stable and has traction on nearly any road surface or 4X4 track.

Snorkel
One of the best aspects of four wheel driving is being able to drive through the bush, sometimes this means you need to drive through a river crossing. We installed an Ironman Snorkel which raises the air intake point to just above roof level. This reduces the risk of water entering the engine during river crossings. It also helps to reduce the amount of dirt and dust picked up in the air box when driving in places where it is dusty or even locations like the Simpson Desert. It’s one of the best accessories to install for nearly any 4WD as it helps to maintain optimal engine performance in challenging conditions.

Storage
To round up the list of accessories that Matt bought was some storage options. We installed the Yakima Lock n Load platform which included recovery track mounts and an awning. Adding a storage platform to the roof of a 4WD means you can also carry storage boxes, fuel cans or other camping equipment nearly anywhere.

Every accessory product chosen for this 4WD was selected very carefully for Matthew to help fulfil the needs he had, but also be compatible to be installed on a Pajero. It means Matthew can take his family off-road any time of the year to practically any location.
