Most of the people that visit our 4WD centre in Sydney have an existing 4×4 they have been driving for a while, but decide to get upgrades or modifications done. Mitchell had just organised to buy a brand new 2022 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport but wanted to drive away with a brand new custom fit out.
Mitchell and the car dealer worked closely with us to come up with the specification of the fit out, organise the installation and have everything ready for pick up at the dealership. This would mean he gets to buy a brand new vehicle that is completely fitted out with his choice of 4×4 accessories from new.

Mitchell had a pretty clear brief for this 4WD fit out because he had plans to take his family on 4×4 holidays with their caravan.
He bought a Mitsubishi Pajero four door 4WD so that the family can travel in comfort as they towed their caravan behind the vehicle.
So he wanted to be able to have better frontal protection, recovery capabilities, emergency communication, better lighting, towing capacity as well as the ability to do water crossings if needed.
The total cost for this level of fit out came in at around $14,000 but this can vary depending on the vehicle and exact models or parts fitted.

All new 4WD’s will come from the factory without any major accessories installed. In fact not many manufacturers will have them as options other than the normal change of seating fabric, wheels etc. One of the most popular accessory installations that we carry out in our 4WD workshop in Sydney is to have a roof rack system installed.
The obvious benefit is the ability to carry more gear with you when you go 4WD’ing or to simply carry things when moving house. The Rhino-Rack Backbone system is installed into the factory roof mounting points (or directly to the roof if you want) so that it can evenly distribute the weight of whatever you are carrying over the body of your vehicle.
